父の日（Daddy's day!!)父の日は、あるひとりの、父親だけに育てられたアメリカ人女性が、父親に感謝する日があってもと思ったことがきっかけで始まったそうです。アメリカでは、父の日に贈る花は、赤い薔薇。これは、父の日を制定した女性が父の墓前に薔薇を供えたからだそうです。健在な父親には、赤い薔薇、他界した父親には、白い薔薇。日本では、キャンペーンで黄色いリボンが使われ、幸せと希望のシンボルの黄色がイメージとなり「黄色い薔薇」が父親に送られるようになったそうです。

I heard the story about an American woman who thought of starting Daddy's day. She was brought up only by her dad and thought there should be Daddy's day. In America some people give red roses to their dad. In Japan some people give yellow roses to their dad on daddy's day, because the color yellow is a symbol of happiness and hope.
