今日は、「アンネの日記」が書き始められた日。
これは、アンネ・フランクの形見の薔薇です。蕾は、深紅、花が咲き始めると黄色がかったオレンジ色へ次第に色を変えていくという特徴があります。
ベルギーの園芸家がアンネのお父さんのオットーフランク氏に出会い、アンネのためにもっとも美しい薔薇をと捧げた薔薇が、アンネの薔薇の元になる薔薇です。そして、１９６０年に「Souvenir d`Anne Frank」という名で発表されました。日本には、１９７２年に最初にやってきました。学校、教会、資料館、薔薇園で、アンネ・フランクの薔薇を見かけることがあると思います。世界中の自由と平和の尊さを願うアンネ・フランクの思いがずっと薔薇を通して生きているのですね。

Souvenir de Anne Frank
Today is the day when Anne Frank started to keep her diary. It is also called diary's day.
One Belgian met Anne's dad and sent one of his most beautiful roses, and in 1960 it was made known to people as "souvenior de Anne Frank". Anne's roses change their color from red to yellow orange,as they bloom . It was 1972 when Anne's roses came to Japan for the first time.
You can see Anne's roses at church, schools, and rose garden, and feel Anne's hope for peace is still alive in our mind.
