少雨の５月

　５月から、６月上旬の卯の花のシーズンにかけてしとしと長く降り続く入梅前の雨を「卯の花くたし」といいます。今年の５月は、記録的な少雨で白い卯の花を腐らせてしまうほどの雨はなかったですね。卯の花（空木）が　咲いている様子をみかけました。少雨、６月中旬まで続くそうです。

　We had a record dry weather in May . Before the rainy season starts,the season of this flower (Deutzia) comes. Today I went to the northern part of Hiroshima and saw Deutzia in bloom. Now is the season of rice planting. But because water runs dry these days, I heard many farmers in Hiroshima are in trouble .
